skeet&greet

hey. I’m Bekah. I split my time between Colorado and Seattle, as a writer and whitewater raft guide. I’m currently in the nonfiction workshop at Iowa. This is my personal blog, often about whatever i’m reading. My friend Ash says I am angsty and disrespectful. So that’s fun.

once a professor told me that the most important thing he’s learned in twenty-five years of teaching: it’s better to show up with a handful of questions than a page full of notes.

this is my handful of questions.

Dylan Thomas on words: “There they were, seemingly lifeless, made only of black and white, but out of them, out of their own being, came love and terror and pity and pain and wonder and all the other vague abstractions that make our ephemeral lives dangerous, great, and bearable.”
